my life - breakfast for dinner

Mmmm! I don't know anyone who doesn't like strawberries. They may very well be the perfect fruit. Sweet, juicy and you can put them in almost anything! Stumped for new and innovative meals for me and the punks I tossed it up to them and they delivered. Brielle suggested "pancakes" and Bryan screamed "strawberries"! The only logical solution was to put them together.

To top the whole event off, Brielle was lucky enough to receive a package from Grandma... a strawberry apron! How suitable!! As you can tell, she enjoyed every bite of her "dinner".

Bryan on the other hand was completely enthused. In his defense he did fall asleep for a short catnap while we were making dinner.

Seriously, do you think my punks have any idea how lucky they are? I can remember many, many fabulous meals (and one of my favorite might be National Pancake Day from the UK of crepes with lemon and sugar - YUM-o!!) cooked with love by my mother, but I don't ever recall strawberry topped pancakes.

What came first, the pancakes or the shortcake?!?!
