The People: The man next door
When I moved here I met my wonderful neighbors... we were fast friends and somewhere along the line we became almost family. When I moved here the only thing missing from the house next door was the daddy, the husband, the man. He has been deployed to Afghanistan for 1 year. 365 days. 8760 hours. And I can't even think of how many little things he's missed during this time...
Today, after almost ten months of living next door and sharing our joys and heart aches with his family, I was honored and blessed to photograph his homecoming. I finally met the man next door!
Thank you, David, for your service. Thank you for having such a wonderful family!
I think someone has surely been "claimed"!

Wow...very emotional pictures...Just beautiful. I am all teared up now.
Makes me proud to be an American! I thank this "Man next door" for helping keep our country safe and I put my hand out to his wife nad children for being strong while he was gone. I cant begin to imagine how hard it must of been for them all. I am greatful to them all for being my Vonnie's friend while her husband is on tour. Mosgt of all I am thankful for Kleenex for suppling me the large box of tissues I have managed to get through looking at her wonderful photos of her wonderful friends! God Bless America!!
Words cannot begin to express the love in my heart for this family....tears fill my eyes! We are so blessed to have this moment captured and shared with us. WOW...."WELCOME HOME"...so very precious!
Thank you so much for capturing the beautiful moments at the airport. I'm the Grammy in Michigan and look at these pictures over and over to see my "kids", all of them. I feel like I was there with them. They are priceless.
I am speechless. I can't keep the tears back. God is so faithful! Love, Rana
