Tick-Tock

We all have things that make us tick... or tock. Right now all I can hear is the never ending countdown to goodbye tick-tocking away. It's rhythm beats to my own heart beat. The only time I don't hear it is when I hold my breath. I can't hold my breath for very long, so it's relentless.

On the up side we, as a family, have this wonderful thing that keeps us tick-tocking along. It's JETS!! I know my little punk can't be the only 2 year old out there that can point out a Hornet from a mile away... can he?!?! He will gladly tell anyone and everyone who will give him the time of day that "M'daddy flies jets. He flies Hornets. They go high... in the sky" and he makes his own rendition of "jet noise". It was really cute the first couple times but after 98237614 times of hearing the same thing over, it gets to be a little hard on the ears. I discourage it, is that bad?

As for the punkette, her Daddy is her tick-tock! If there ever was a little girl that loved her Daddy, I got it! She's just passed that stage of repeating things 9238793 times, but she has 37856238576 other things to say during the day. She likes to talk! A lot.

Well, with the pending departure we are trying to spend every waking moment wrapped up in each others arms. We have even taken it a step beyond and started visiting Big J at work! Everyone got their tick-tock fill and I seized the opportunity to grab some nice mementos for the kids to put up around the house of Daddy.

Do you think it would be weird if I blow one up life size to keep around for company??
