Hitting the road

What else do two bored moms do on sunny afternoons? Well, we get the kids loaded up in the car with snacks, a portable DVD player and a hand full of cars and hit the road scouting new locations to take pictures! DUH! You know you want to be cool like us, right... right... rrrrright?

Today on our way to try out one location we accidentally found another, and what a gem it is... lush green SoCal palm trees, musty smells, trails, dried up water run off, and of course a busy section of the 8. This locale is snuggled in between two hills and I'm serious when I say I must have driven past here a hundred times and never noticed it before! I'm guessing locals know about my emerald oasis because we saw a few joggers and there was a group of people enjoying a picnic.

Here are a few test shots with my lovely model, Emily. Thank you, Thank you! Oh and thank you, Emily, for agreeing again to pose...

Isn't it magnificent?

Before we went to the Emerald City we tried the top of Mt Soledad at the memorial. For any San Diegans, this place is a must. Beautiful panoramic views (on clear days, not like today when it's hazy) and just peace and quiet (if you don't have two crazy boys with you!).
Something about these shots get me. It might just be the pretty bold colors, I am easily amused after all!
