There is no place like home...
How fitting a phrase for my returning first post! There truly is no place like home!
As many of you know we moved last week. 9 hours of sweaty men packing our lives belongings and toting them across the city, 8 trips back to the old house, 7 days of boxes, 6 outings to find a local Home Depot, 5 calls to the cable company, 4 miles to the closest beach, 3 days of unpacking, 2 days of painting, 1 week of no cable or internet, and a partridge in a pear tree later we are settled! Seriously, that all happened. Maybe not in that order but it all happened! I'm glad to say we're getting back into the swing of things. The kids are on a schedule again and even though I'm not liking the 6am wake up call from BJ, I'm thankful.
Brielle started her new school without a hitch and she is now the youngest member of the ballet studio. The teacher was iffy when I asked if she could try one day, she's so tiny she didn't think she would be ready but Brielle proved her wrong! Ms C was pleasantly surprised and offered her a spot in the class. She exclaimed that "she is very adamant and has a lot of heart"! That's my girl!
This brings me to the upcoming holiday... Halloween! I love this spooky sugar filled day! The past couple of months Brielle has become a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz and she decided she wants to be Dorothy. She just doesn't want to be Dorothy for Halloween, she wants to BE DOROTHY! She often calls Bryan "Toto" and we play make believe witches and tornadoes! It's only fitting that she attends this years Halloween festivities as her favorite character right now. I enjoyed a mini session in our back yard this afternoon... you can be assured there will be more where this came from soon!
If anyone in the San Diego area would like some Halloween pictures shoot me an email at jsyclebrun@yahoo.com !
Don't forget Christmas!!
